Awhile ago some one had posted some old kitchen tools on Facebook

wondering if anyone remembered what they were.  Obviously I did as the one on the

right was one of those mentioned.  It’s perfect for grinding nuts to put on

top of my toffee bars.  Would hate to lose it.

Then there is today’s tool.  I love my mixer.

When I was talking to my daughter planning Thanksgiving dinner, she mentioned

that Marta had a request.  She wanted some of my Christmas cookies.  How could I turn down a request

from one of my dear granddaughters?  I couldn’t of course.  It in the course of  making spritz, a Norwegian cookie

loved by all, I invented a new cookie I’m calling spritz crackers.  When typing the recipe into the computer I had

mistakenly typed in the wrong amount of sugar by more than 3 times as much.  I couldn’t figure out why they kept

spreading out instead of staying in the nice shape from the cookie press.  Finally figured it out and did get some “regular”

spritz also.  Everyone really like the new crackers so I’m going to have to go back and figure out what I did.

I live in beautiful western Colorado. I am close to my daughter and her family. I have loved working with fibers as long as I can remember. I come from a family of women who have always created with fiber. This is a great part of the country to visit and to live in. Try it sometime.
