BITS OF THIS AND THAT

NEVER SAY NEVER

It’s a lesson that I learned a long time ago.

NEVER SAY NEVER!

I never said that I would  not move back to Minnesota,

but I did say that I wouldn’t move back permanently.

So, here we are, living in Fergus Falls, MN as a second home.

Lee wanted to be able to get out of the heat of Colorado

and did he ever manage that.

Not only did we  buy this home in a blizzard, but when we

arrived here it was COLD, even for here.  We’ve been here 2 weeks

and I’ve worn a sweatshirt or jacket every day.  Some lakes are still frozen over

and the fishing opener is this weekend.

The picture above is what we saw from out living room window.  A crane eyeing

our floating bog.  We have been watching, swans, cranes, geese, and ducks on the

lake.  Not as many birds are around now.  Hopefully they are just nesting and

some of them will return.  It’s so much fun to watch them.

This is what it looks like now.  The ice is all gone here and the floating

bog has blown much closer to shore.  We think that some ducks

are trying to nest there.

So, if anyone is in the Fergus area get in touch with me and

maybe we can get together.

LIFE IS GOOD.  ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN.

I live in beautiful western Colorado. I am close to my daughter and her family. I have loved working with fibers as long as I can remember. I come from a family of women who have always created with fiber. This is a great part of the country to visit and to live in. Try it sometime.

  1. Hi Gj, What a smart move . . . course we love spending the summer in MN. I have forwarded this on to Judy Johnson Dallman, Sherry Oberg Wallace and Marilyn Strickler Sirek. We just got together in Alexander Arrowwood lodge for a fun overnight. Wish you could have joined us. We will probably do another get together and will let you know when and where. Enjoy getting settled and exploring that lovely area. Romelle
